2018

YE-MUN ESTABLISHMENT

Established on August 28, 2018, Youth Empowerment Model United Nations - YE-MUN was among the pioneering organizations in Phu Yen to aim at youth comprehensive development. With the enthusiastic and passionate Secretariats from multiple regions in Vietnam, the upcoming months were then dedicated to planning and strategizing for YE-MUN’s warm-up events, one of which was the Workshop: Youth in the scene of Globalization in June, marking the official operation of the organization.

2019

VOYAGE OF THE Z's

As the Secretariats have experienced and comprehended the organization’s culture, YE-MUN went on to organize its first Main Conference to better the model of extracurricular activities in the province of Phu Yen and simultaneously bridge students with contemporary international affairs. YE-MUN 2019 successfully attracted more than 100 students from all around Vietnam which was a good boon for the Organizing team and the hope for its future development. With 3 committees being held which were the European Union (EU), World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), participants stood a chance to discuss and bring forward proposals for various fields and topics regarding humanitarian, technological, and environmental aspects.

       THE QUEENING OF

             THE PAWN

If 2019 is an experiment then 2020 is actually a great leap. 2020 marked the first Vietnamese committees ever to exist at YE-MUN and a Press conference that serves to report the progress of the committees. Yet the GA (General Assembly) committees were once again doing their best in forming a foundation for participants, particularly delegates to raise their voices about problems including but not limited to trading activities among European member states in the post-pandemic scenario, AI impact on the job market, sustainable tourism development with the operation of 3 committees European Union (EU), United Nations Commission on Science and Technology Development (UNCSTD) and United Nations Development Program (UNEP).

2020

THE BLOOMING

Inheriting the spiritual legacy of previous generations of the Secretariats, YE-MUN pressed on to accomplish its ultimate mission which is demonstrated through the theme: The Blooming. The theme proudly represents YE-MUN’s three-year journey to professionalism and diplomacy. Though YE-MUN 2021 was the first online Conference ever to take place, the flexibility and commitment of the Organizing Team were the underlying factors of its roaring success with the first-ever Crisis Committee, two General Assembly (GA) committees - International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Vietnamese-based United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and the continuation of Press Corps.

2022

THE JOURNEY OF THE ALCHEMIST

If 2021 witnesses the first-ever online MUN conferences due to the Covid-19 pandemic, YE-MUN 2022 has marked our explosive comeback after lockdown with an 'ancient' theme: the Journey of the Alchemist. It symbolized a challenging adventure to conquer the mysterious elements of the Emerald Land, as well as a metaphor for the discovery of hidden elements deep within each of us. The Organizing Team proudly dedicated ourselves to spreading this message to both local and global young people, with three councils being the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Accompanied by a Crisis Committee, participants were willing to raise their voices towards humanitarian, environmental and multinational aspects.

2023

LIBERATION

With the hope of successful connection of YE-MUN 2022, in response to the expectations of those who always follow and love the Organization, YE-MUN 2023 officially returns with the theme: LIBERATION. With the desire to bring an additional and creative playground, this comeback is an opportunity for young people who love MUN to find their instincts and explore their limits. This is a journey for people to reflect on themselves, find their pulse, discover new recipes, new creations, towards the goal of being the most brilliant version of each person. The Organizing Team are proud to dedicate themselves to spreading this message to young people both locally and globally, with three councils being the International Labour Organization council (ILO), the Economic and Financial Affairs council (ECOFIN) and the Economic and Social council (ECOSOC). We hope that this will be an ideal stop for all of you.
